Triple H Reacts To Cody Rhodes Winning The WWE Royal Rumble

On Saturday night Cody Rhodes made his return to in-ring competition and he managed to win the 30 man Royal Rumble match. Triple H addressed Cody’s victory during the post-show press conference and he praised The American Nightmare for, “punching that ticket to the main event of WrestleMania, having that moment, to be out there, stand in front of that incredible crowd and do what everybody dreams of.”

Triple H also addressed people who make fun of WWE stars pointing at the WrestleMania sign and he said that they, “are the people that will never get the chance to do it.” 

Earlier during the press conference Cody Rhodes noted that he didn’t want Triple H to look at him and see his dad. Triple H continued to praise Cody Rhodes and said that he does see Dusty when he looks at Cody, but he also sees something more.

“When I look at him I do see his dad. I look in his eyes and I see his dad’s eyes. I see Dusty. I see all the best things of Dusty and then I see something more. I can just see the greatness of his dad, amplified in his dad’s son, and that’s something special. He’s a special talent, a special human being, and I’m very proud of that.” 

Now that Cody Rhodes has won the Royal Rumble match it seems that he’s on a collision course with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
