Triple H On John Cena Possibly Wrestling In NXT

John Cena has wrestled in the main event in some of the biggest WWE pay-per-views of all time, and he’s a 16 time WWE World Champion, but he still pays attention to the up and coming stars in NXT.

Cena recently said that he would love to perform on NXT programming, and he also praised Velveteen Dream.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels recently spoke to Give Me Sport about the possibility of John Cena wrestling in NXT, and he seems open to the idea.

“I can’t afford his pay on my NXT budget, I just really can’t seem to hit John Cena’s level of payoff, but we’ll work on it if he wants to take a pay cut,” Triple H joked.

“I think that there’s opportunity for anything.” Triple H continued, “Vince taught both of us a long time ago never say never in this, if the opportunity is right. As we talked about yesterday, there’s different styles, there’s different feels to different brands and all of that, and they all have their different places. But criss-crossing all of that and having them be a part of each other at the same time – look, we’ve seen guys come down and work in NXT before, or move over and work with Vince. That’s not beyond the realm of possibility if someone wants to do it.”

“Look, if John Cena comes to me and goes ‘I have to do this at the next TakeOver with this person’ I’m like ‘alright, if I have to put you on there I will,'” Triple H said as he laughed.

“John’s the kind of guy, you could have John do it for free,” Shawn Michaels said.

Triple H went on to say that he was only joking about the money, and he added that the fact that John Cena is talking about Velveteen Dream, and The Rock is talking about Ricochet speaks for itself.
