For weeks now John Cena has been calling out The Undertaker, and he’s challenged him to a match at WrestleMania 34 on Sunday, April 8. But The Undertaker has yet to answer the challenge, and fans are eagerly awaiting his return.
Despite the fact that Taker has yet to officially answer the challenge, it’s expected that he will be facing Cena at the Show of Shows, and it’s rumored that the match may not be confirmed until only days before the big event.
Taker is in the twilight of his career, so appearances on WWE programming have been scarce over the last few years. Triple H was recently asked about Taker’s future, and he told The Express that the former WWE Champion has earned the right to do what he wants to do.
“You’ve seen John Cena calling him out, you’ve seen that play out on television. Where that goes I’m not sure, where that goes beyond April 8 I don’t know,” Triple H said. “It’s kind of a one-day-at-a-time thing and time will tell and we’ll see. It really comes down to being up to The Undertaker, what he wants to do anywhere any time and he’s earned that right certainly with everything that he has accomplished and everything he’s done. He’s earned the right to pick his shots, pick his opportunity and really dictate what he wants to do.”
