Triple H has been laying low for months following the cardiac event that he suffered last year, and he recently confirmed that he is officially retired from in-ring competition. The Game made a brief appearance during NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday, and he surprised fans once again when he kicked off night 2 of WrestleMania 38.
After making his entrance to a loud ovation from the crowd Triple H stood in the ring for a while and soaked in the reaction. He then placed his boots down on the mat. Fans responded by chanting, “thank you Hunter!”
Triple H told the fans that he just wanted to say thank you, and to show the fans his love in the best way he knows how. He then welcomed everyone to WrestleMania as the pyro went off. As Triple H made his way to the back the camera focused on his boots in the middle of the ring.
