Triple H Made His Epic Return At Madison Square Garden On This Day In 2002.

Back in May of 2002 Triple H tore his quadriceps at the worst time possible. Triple H had spent years carving out his legacy in the professional wrestling business and he had finally reached the top of the mountain. Unfortunately the injury put Triple H on the shelf for several months, but he was determined to come back better than ever.

After months of rehab Triple H finally return to WWE during the January 7, 2002 episode of Monday Night Raw. Triple H made his entrance to a deafening pop from the crowd. Triple H had spent several years working as a heel so the thunderous ovation was a true sign of respect and gratitude from the audience.

Triple H then announced that he would be entering the Royal Rumble match, which he won. After winning the match he went on to defeat Chris Jericho in the main event of WrestleMania X8, win the WWE Undisputed Championship and the rest is history.
