It’s been a big week for AEW as tickets went on sale for All In at Wembley Stadium in London, England and the tickets seem to be selling very well. So far AEW has sold over 60,000 tickets to All In and the success of the ticket sales has been touted on social media by names like Chris Jericho and Tony Khan.
However, one fan responded to a tweet from Chris Jericho and said that the ticket sales won’t help AEW’s, “flatlining US viewing figures,” then told Chris Jericho not to get carried away.
Another fan joined the conversation and questioned why Warner Bros. would give AEW another show if they were doing poorly, which was seemingly a reference to AEW’s rumored third show Collision which has yet to be officially announced. The fan also pointed out that WWE is more profitable than ever despite declining ratings when they posted the following:
“Dude. If they’re doing so poorly, why did Warner just give them another show?
Tv ratings are an outdated way to view popularity, in todays world of cord cutting. WWE has less than half of what they got 10 years ago, but are more profitable than ever.”
Apparently the tweet caught Triple H’s attention as he seemingly gave it his seal of approval when he liked it on Twitter. Triple H’s motivation to like the tweet was more likely due to the fact that it stated WWE is more profitable than ever, but it’s still interesting that he acknowledged it nonetheless.
While AEW is heading to London, England in August, WWE will also be heading to London for Money in the Bank at the O2 Arena. While the O2 Arena is certainly smaller than Wembley Stadium it seems that fans are excited for Money in the Bank as it sold out in one minute.
