With Triple H now in charge of WWE creative there’s no telling who could make their way back to the company. In recent weeks fans have seen some big returns including the return of former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano.
Johnny Gargano’s contract with WWE expired in December of 2021 and on his way out Johnny delivered an emotional farewell promo during an episode of NXT. Recently the former NXT Champion opened up about the promo on the Out Of Character podcast and he noted that it all came from the heart.
“I genuinely loved working with those two [Triple H and Shawn Michaels], working with everyone in that environment. I loved working with everyone in the NXT locker room, everyone in the office, the writing staff.”
“I said this in my final promo, my final promo that I did on air on NXT was all real, it’s from the heart. I wrote it myself. It wasn’t like people were giving me things to say. It was like, ‘Hey, go out, have a chance to say goodbye, say the things you want to say.’ That is why it was my choice to stay in NXT for that long.”
Since making his return to WWE Johnny Gargano has joined the Raw brand, and this week he faced off against Chad Gable in his first match back with the company. Stay tuned for more updates on Gargano’s status as they become available.
