This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown was unique, as the show was moved from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
A unique commentary team was also put together for this week’s episode of SmackDown with Triple H and Michael Cole calling the action.
It was recently reported that Triple H got a new job title, and that his new title was seen as a “quiet demotion” in WWE. The Game referenced his “demotion” this week on SmackDown when he made the following comment:
“I’m not really that busy at all. I’m the only man in the history of the world that can get demoted and get busier apparently. I don’t know, but here I am.”
Triple H’s new corporate title is Executive Vice President, Global Talent Strategy & Development, and PWInsider reports that he’s been spearheaded with a decree to open new WWE Performance Centers so that WWE can expand the number of talents they groom.
He’s currently overseeing all things NXT, but it’s being said that his main focus is to continue setting up the future of the company.
It’s also being reported that due to Triple H’s new job Brad Blum has taken on more responsibilities and Talent Relations and WWE Legal are now answering directly to Blum, whereas before they answered to Triple H.
