When Triple H sees an opportunity to make big moves and bring as many eyes to Monday Night Raw as he possibly can he jumps on it. It’s no secret Triple H is a fan of MMA and every other combat sport. He and his wife Stephanie have been seen being friendly with people associated with MMA in the past so it should be no secret Triple H would want to get closer to Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather especially considering the fact they’re about to have one of the biggest fights of their careers.
WWE already has somewhat of a representative in the actual fight itself in Mauro Ranallo as he will announce the fight. But Triple H wanted to take that one step further. Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather had a press conference to hype their highly anticipated Las Vegas showdown yesterday. But near the end of the conference, they experienced some technical glitches, to say the least.
McGregor’s mic started messing up and this is no laughing matter considering the importance of this fight. But honestly, for a fight where so many people are going to make so much money, you’d think they could afford microphones that worked.
Triple H sent out a message to Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather on Twitter saying he knows of a place where they could have a real debate and both of their microphones would be guaranteed to work: Monday Night Raw. He’s extended this invitation before, but it never hurts to ask again.
Triple H is right though, WWE has way more working microphones than they really need. After all, they were able to supply a mic to every member of the Ball family on Raw a few weeks ago and we can’t imagine the results of a McGregor/Mayweather segment would be any less disastrous.
Only time will tell if the May-Mac World Tour will make it to Monday Night Raw. But one thing’s for sure if they do show up on a WWE stage it will be a TV rating gold mine and WWE will be ready with as many working microphones as they need.
