Triple H and The Undertaker have defeated some of the biggest names at WrestleMania and they faced off against one another 3 times on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
During a recent interview with Complex, Triple H reflected on his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 17, and he revealed that he accidentally injured The Phenom while using a gimmicked sledgehammer.
“Ironically the only time I ever injured anybody with a hammer was with Taker. We were going to, I believe it was WrestleMania, he was going to pick me up for Last Ride, and I was gonna grab the hammer on the way up. We were so afraid, could I get all the way up there and still use it, so we used a gimmicked sledgehammer that had a foam head because it was much lighter. When I went up top and hit him in the head with it I held onto the foam part to protect him, and the handle went all the way through the foam part and cut him. I hit him, I had no idea. He went down, when I came up he was bleeding I was like ‘holy s*** what happened?!”
In addition to their match at WrestleMania 17, Triple H and The Undertaker also faced off at WrestleMania 27 and WrestleMania 28. Ultimately it was The Undertaker who picked up the victory on all three occasions.
