The 2023 WWE Draft has come and gone and WWE reshuffled the deck when it comes to the main roster. Several stars switched brands in the draft and several NXT stars were also called up to the main roster.
Cameron Grimes was officially called up during the 2023 WWE Draft and he will be part of the Friday Night SmackDown brand moving forward. The WRKD Wrestling account is reporting that Triple H has high hopes for Cameron Grimes and he’s expected to get a push once the new rosters go into effect next week.
“While drafted last, we’ve heard HHH has high hopes for @CGrimesWWE, having long advocated for him to be called up.
Between mic skills/body transformation, he has supporters backstage and a push is expected once the draft goes into effect. #SmackDown”

Grimes finished up with NXT last year and spent several months off TV. It was reported that WWE was waiting for the right opportunity to bring him to the main roster and it looks like they’ve found it. The former NXT North American Champion made his first appearance on SmackDown this week and it sounds like we’ll be seeing a lot more of him moving forward.
