Over the last few weeks rumors of a possible return to WWE for CM Punk have been heating up, and Triple H was recently asked about the possibility of Punk returning to the company during an appearance on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show.
Triple H was asked to answer a series of true or false questions, and during the Q&A session he was asked about a potential return for CM Punk.
“That’s a ‘could be’. Vince will say it all the time: ‘We’re open for business’. The past is passed, today is today and you never say never in WWE.”
Back at Starrcast in August Punk noted that if WWE called him he would listen, and it was also reported that CM Punk tried out for an on air role with WWE’s new studio show, WWE Backstage on FS1.
It will be interesting to see if any moves are made on either side, as Punk also recently said in an AMA that it would take a “very big bag” to get him to return to WWE.
