AJ Styles is the current WWE Champion, and he’s set to defend his title against Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34 in a few weeks. However, there’s been some concern over AJ’s status after it was recently revealed that he’s working with an undisclosed injury.
Styles recently said in an interview that he’ll be facing Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania even if he has to do it on one leg, so the champion seems confident he’ll be there.
Triple H recently spoke to Catch-Newz.com about AJ’s status, and he noted that there’s always a plan B, but WWE officials are hopeful AJ Styles will be able to wrestle on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
“You always have to have a plan B and in case, you also have to have a plan C. So we try to have in mind what can potentially happen. AJ is an amazing sportsman and saying that we should replace AJ Styles would be really hard you know. It is not necessarily a talent that can be replaced but we would have done our best. But AJ works diligently to heal his wound and make sure he’s in great shape for WrestleMania. We try to accompany him in this process by taking care of him in the best way possible, with the best rehabilitation possible … We hope that everything will be fine, now he says he is much better and he will be ready to go. Of course, we will have doctors come to him to make sure that he is in good shape and he has the go-ahead from the doctors as soon as possible. In any case, he works a lot for that so we hope everything will be fine.”
