WrestleMania 41 aired live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas last weekend and Gunther defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso in the opening match. When it was all said and it done it was Jey Uso who picked up the victory to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Gunther made his way out to the announce table. The Ring General got physical with Michael Cole and that’s when Pat McAfee jumped into to make the save. After Pat McAfee attempted to save his broadcast partner Gunther decided to choke Pat McAfee out.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce recently posted a video on social media and he confirmed that Pat McAfee and Michael Cole are ok. However, he called out Gunther while saying that The Ring General’s actions were disgusting. Pearce then went on to announce that Gunther has not only been fined, but he’s also suspended indefinitely. It was also confirmed that Michael Cole and Pat McAfee will be on Raw next week.

“Your actions were reprehensible and disgusting. You will never again put your hands on a member of my announce team, because there ain’t no heat in beating up an announcer. You’re frustrated because you lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Jey Uso, and I get that. But if you want to blame somebody, then park your a** in front of a mirror and ask the person staring back at you.”

There’s currently no word on when Gunther might be back on TV, but one way or another it will be interesting to see what’s next for the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion following his loss at WrestleMania.
