A number of WWE contracts expired this year and fans have seen some interesting names such as Becky Lynch, Ricochet, Bobby Lashley and MVP part ways with the company.
Back in May, Kevin Owens revealed that his current contract with WWE is set to expire in the early part of 2025. Recently the former Universal Champion spoke with The Takedown on SI and he confirmed that he has not signed a new deal yet, and the only change since he last addressed his contract status is that there’s less time on his current deal.
Kevin Owens first signed with WWE back in 2014 and he commented on his decade long run with the company when he said, “I remember the feeling I had at the time, that day when it all unfolded and it was being made official. Everybody’s reaction. And it was really great to see how happy people were for me and how much people were rooting for me. There were also a lot of people saying it’s not gonna last six months. Looking back at it 10 years later is pretty wild.”
Since signing with WWE, Kevin Owens has been featured in some high profile feuds and he’s worked with some of the biggest names in the business. Currently he’s set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Bash In Berlin on Saturday, August 31st. Stay tuned for updates.
