It’s going to be a big weekend for WWE fans as the company is set to hold several events in Tampa, FL over the next few days. Saturday Night’s Main Event will air live from the Yuengling Center on May 24th, and Drew McIntyre is currently set to face off against Damian Priest inside a steel cage at the show.
Ahead of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Drew McIntyre spoke to the Orlando Sentinel about his current status, and the former WWE Champion admitted that he’s currently working hurt.
“I can’t turn my head all the way left yet… Working hurt is just what happens if you’re an athlete, especially as the years go by. If you’re injured, it is something to take care of. Maybe back in the day, we would have taped it up and gone with it.
“In the past, I have worked with muscle tears and breaks, which isn’t the most sensible thing, but the way we operate now, you want to last for the long run.“
Other matches on the card for Saturday Night’s Main Event include Jey Uso vs. Logan Paul for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, R-Truth vs. John Cena and CM Punk & Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker.
Stay tuned for updates.
