It takes a lot of hard work to make it to the top of WWE and it’s certainly not uncommon to see some of the biggest names in the company branch out into acting. Names like The Rock, John Cena and Batista have achieved major success in Hollywood and it looks like there’s another top star who is looking to get into the acting world.
Recently SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair spoke to Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald about her acting experience so far, and she made it clear that she would like to pursue some bigger roles in the future.
“I definitely want to do things outside of WWE, but it’s a matter of when that will happen for me. Very early on in my career, I did do Psych The Movie. I also did Punky Brewster. I’ve had these opportunities. I would really love a bigger role and a bigger movie, but when that happens, it will happen. I’m trying not to put so much pressure on, ‘I have to do this, I have to do that’ because, at the same time, I want to be the very best superstar in WWE. I know I want to be the best in whatever I do, so it’s just when all these things come to me at the right time. I know this sounds cliche, but it’s just patience. What my transition looks like will be unique and special to Charlotte Flair.”
Even though Charlotte may be looking toward life beyond WWE she has a big challenge ahead of her as she’s currently set to defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39 next month. It’s expected that the SmackDown Women’s Championship match will headline night 1 of WrestleMania on April 1. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
