There’s been a lot of movement in the professional wrestling world in recent years, but it looks like Finn Balor has decided to stay with WWE. The former Universal Champion got the wrestling world talking about his status when he posted the following on social media:
“I would like to take this moment to say thank you to WWE for 10 incredible years. And after much thought and consideration, I have decided that now is the right time to say ‘I ain’t going nowhere!’”
Fightful Select reports that the word going around on Monday is that Finn Balor will be staying with WWE, and was signing a long-term contract extension with the company. Originally Finn Balor’s deal was set to expire in a couple months.
According to the report WWE was looking to sign Balor to multi-year contract with a big money offer. The expectation was that there would be major interest in Finn Balor if he were to become a free agent. AEW is looking to sign free agents this summer and Finn’s name was reportedly on the list of talent they were keeping an eye on.
Stay tuned for more updates on Balor’s status as they become available.
