Vince McMahon is without a doubt the most powerful person in WWE, and even though there are people who seem to have a high opinion of the Chairman of the Board, he’s also made his fair share of enemies over the years.
It’s no big secret that Goldberg wasn’t happy during his first run with WWE, but he has since returned and experienced major success with the company over the last few years.
The WWE Hall of Famer spoke to Bleacher Report about his relationship with Vince McMahon, and he noted that his opinion of Vince has changed drastically.
“I hated him in the beginning, and now I’d die for him. Let’s be perfectly honest. I don’t think there’s a bigger swing of judgment than I have had since I’ve been in WWE. I went into the business at WWE with unrealistic expectations. I went into WWE with my back against the wall, thinking everyone was out to get me. It was a tough situation for me to exist in, and it was almost an impossible situation for me to coexist in on a positive note. With that first year out of the way, I’ve grown as a wrestler. I’ve grown as a human being, and I’d like to think that Vince and I have grown as friends.”
At this point it’s not clear when we will see Goldberg return to the ring, but he did recently tease a potential match with Roman Reigns. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
