The new year has kicked off in a big way as Vince McMahon returned to WWE and it’s well known that McMahon is interested in possibly selling the company. At this point there are a number of buyers who are rumored to interested in exploring the option of acquiring WWE, but there are certainly a lot of questions when it comes to the future of the company.
Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston recently spoke to SHAK Wrestling about the reaction to the sale talks while noting that right now everyone is focused on putting on great matches regardless of who’s in charge.
“I think we all kind of have the same mentality. Whatever happens outside of the company is going to happen. We really have no idea what’s transpiring. But our role, again, remains the same. It’s to go out there and put on great matches.”
“That’s the one thing, regardless of whoever’s in charge, or whoever owns this, that’s what we’re going to do. That’s what we’re always going to do. That is the most important thing. I think the mentality for us is just to kind of have laser vision and keep putting on great matches. That’s what we’re going to do.”
Stay tuned for more updates on a potential WWE sale as they become available.
