The WWE Crown Jewel premium live event recently took place from Saudi Arabia and Drew McIntyre defeated Karrion Kross in a steel cage match. Following the show it was reported that Drew McIntyre was extremely sick with the flu heading into the event, but he insisted on working the match.
PWInsider is reporting that quite a few people have praised Drew McIntyre for his commitment to the company. Drew went from the United States to Germany and Switzerland for WWE events, then to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel, then to India for what was reportedly a “movie role” that WWE set up with Sony.
After that Drew flew right back to the United States to work the SmackDown taping and then he also worked a pair of WWE live events. Drew McIntyre was on the road for several weeks making WWE related appearances and it seems that people in the company have taken notice of his effort.
Recently on SmackDown, Drew joined The Brawling Brutes in their fight against The Bloodline, and all signs seem to be pointing toward Drew teaming with The Brawling Brutes to face The Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames. Stay tuned for updates.
