SummerSlam weekend is here and night 1 is set to feature a huge main event. CM Punk will be challenging Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, and recently there’s been a lot of speculation regarding who will walk away with the gold.
One way or another it will be interesting to see how things play out as it appears that The Ring General may potentially be taking time off following WWE’s biggest party of the summer.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Gunther is dealing with a nose issue that may require him to take time off. Details regarding the injury are unknown at this point in time.
Gunther has been one of WWE’s top stars for some time now and he became a two time WWE World Heavyweight Champion back in June when he defeated Jey Uso to win the title for the second time in his career. The Ring General has been one of the key figures in the WWE World Heavyweight Title picture over the last year, so it will be interesting to see what direction he takes following SummerSlam.
