Over the last few years fans have seen numerous WWE Superstars get their names shortened, and it seemed that Vince McMahon preferred to showcase wrestlers with one word names. Earlier this year Austin Theory’s name was shortened to Theory, but it looks like he could be getting his first name back.
PWInsider is reporting that Theory is being listed as Austin Theory in recent promotional material for WWE live events. However, it’s not known if this was done in error, or if Austin Theory will be getting his full name back, so only time will tell.
Theory has been receiving a healthy push for some time now and it was clear that he was one of Vince McMahon’s favorites. It was recently reported that the former United States Champion is still expected to be pushed now that Triple H is in charge.
On the most recent episode of Raw fans saw Johnny Gargano make his return and Gargano cut a passionate promo about his goals in WWE before he was interrupted by Theory. The segment ended with Gargano hitting Theory with a superkick, so it appears that the two WWE stars will be feuding moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
