It was a big weekend for the stars of WWE as they traveled to Scotland for the Clash at the Castle premium live event. Damian Priest defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre in the main event, but unfortunately for Drew McIntyre it was Damian Priest who walked out with the gold after CM Punk interfered in the match.
Drew McIntyre made his way down to the ring for a promo on Raw this week and The Scottish Warrior looked distraught as he tried to speak. He uttered a few words before declaring that he was quitting WWE.
McIntyre then walked backstage and cameras showed Triple H talking to Drew in the Gorilla Position as he tried to convince him not to quit. Despite Triple H’s best efforts Drew McIntyre remained adamant that he was quitting the company and he walked out.
Following Monday Night Raw this week Drew McIntyre has deactivated his X page and Instagram profile. If you try to access Drew’s profile on X it shows a message which says “This account doesn’t exist.” A similar message is shown on his former Instagram page which now reads, “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”
It’s no big secret that Drew McIntyre signed a new deal with WWE earlier this year as The Rock confirmed the news himself, so obviously Drew isn’t going anywhere. Recently it was reported that CM Punk could potentially be back in the ring for SummerSlam, so it will be interesting to see if Drew returns in time to build up a match with the former WWE Champion.
