Top WWE Star Dealing With Injury Heading Into WrestleMania 39

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was originally supposed to feature a tag team match where Ronda Rousey would have teamed up with Shayna Baszler to face Tegan Nox and Natalya, but that didn’t happen. Instead WWE showed footage of a backstage brawl between the two teams earlier in the day and it was later announced that Rousey suffered an injury during the brawl, so the match was changed to Shayna Baszler vs. Tegan Nox.

PWTorch is reporting that Ronda Rousey aggravated a prior injury, but currently the injury is not expected to prevent her from stepping into the ring at WrestleMania 39 in a few weeks.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have been making their presence felt in the women’s tag team division over the last few weeks and it’s rumored that they will be involved in a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 39.
