Social media has given fans the ability to connect with their favorite wrestlers, but sometimes that can lead to negative experiences for the wrestlers who are on the receiving end of negative comments. Former WWE Women’s Champion Asuka knows that all too well, and she recently teased that she could be shutting down all her social media accounts when she posted the following:
“I don’t mind shutting down all the social media accounts I have ”

One fan responded and told Asuka that they don’t blame her, but pointed out that shutting down her social media accounts would just make Asuka’s haters thing she was weak.
Asuka then continued to tease the idea of leaving social media when she added, “Erasing my existence from the public eye and enjoying absolute freedom – that’s my ultimate victory. Making it impossible for anyone to reach me – that’s complete triumph.”
The Empress of Tomorrow last wrestled at the WWE Backlash premium live event in May of 2024. During the show Asuka and Kairi Sane dropped the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
Back in June of 2024, Asuka posted a video confirming that she had undergone successful knee surgery. There’s currently no word on when she could be returning to WWE programming.
