As soon as CM Punk made his return to WWE, Seth Rollins let the world know that he wasn’t happy about it. In the weeks that followed it seemed that CM Punk and Seth Rollins were on a collision course, but Punk was sidelined when he suffered an injury during the 30 man Royal Rumble match last month.
Recently Seth Rollins spoked to Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture about CM Punk’s injury, and the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion indicated that he will be ready for the Second City Saint when he returns to the ring.
“One of us is a fragile old man and one of us is a young stallion. So, I’ll be back in a couple of weeks, he’ll be back in a year or two until his next injury. I don’t know, I’d love to kick the crap out of him. I’m sure he’d love to get there and try to do something to me, but it’s not going to work.
So, am I disappointed? I’d say a little bit. Only because I thought, if we had an opportunity to do it, stomping his head into the mat would be the best at WrestleMania. Like, it would be the best at WrestleMania, in front of the biggest audience. A little bummed by that. I feel like, he’s talking about the greatest comeback of all time, I’ll be happy to stomp out that comeback when the time comes.”
It was recently reported that CM Punk was set to earn a title shot at Elimination Chamber then go on to challenge Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. It was announced on Friday Night SmackDown that Seth’s opponent for WrestleMania will be determined next month at Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. So far Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton have both qualified for the men’s Elimination Chamber match.
