Regardless of which company CM Punk does or doesn’t work for he’s always a hot topic in the world of professional wrestling, and with his AEW status currently in question people have been wondering if he could return to WWE someday.
Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc. recently asked Seth Rollins to share his thoughts on a possible WWE return for CM Punk and he made it clear that he doesn’t think the company needs him.
“Oh Philly Phil, stay away. Stay away you cancer. Get away from me forever. Yeah no I don’t like Phil, he’s a jerk. Did we just figure that out? Everyone in the room is like ‘oh no, did he say that?’ Yeah, no he’s a jerk. We figured that out over there, we knew it over here, I don’t want him back. Go do something else. Bye bye, see you later!”
CM Punk last competed in the main event at All Out in September of 2022 when he defeated Jon Moxley to become a two time AEW World Champion. Punk was injured during the match and later he was involved in a backstage altercation with The Elite following the post-show media scrum. It was reported following the event that AEW was in talks to buy out his contract, but Punk’s future in wrestling remains unknown.
