Contracts are always a hot topic in the world of professional wrestling and recently there’s been a lot of talk about Drew McIntyre’s contract status with WWE. It’s been reported that The Scottish Warrior’s contract is set to expire later this year, and that the two sides have not agreed to a new deal.
Amid the speculation Drew McIntyre got people talking when he blacked out his Twitter profile and removed all references to World Wrestling Entertainment.
There’s currently no word on why Drew did this or if he could just possibly be messing with the fans amid talk about his contract status with the company.
McIntyre competed in a triple threat match with Sheamus and Gunther earlier this month at WrestleMania 39 and it was Gunther who ended up picking up the win. Drew was then pulled from the following episode of SmackDown and it was reported that he was pulled due to a health issue. There’s currently no word on when he’ll be back on TV. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
