Last week it was announced that CM Punk’s AEW contract had been terminated which has obviously led to a lot of speculation about Punk’s future in the world of professional wrestling.
At this point it’s not known if CM Punk is free to make appearances for other wrestling promotions, but there are quite a few people who are wondering if a WWE return might be in the cards for Punk.
During a recent appearance on the Ringer Wrestling Show, Finn Balor was asked if he would be interested in facing CM Punk, and he made it clear that he would be willing to step into the ring with the former WWE Champion if the money was right.
“I’d be interested in wrestling a broomstick if someone is going to pay me money. Money talks,” Balor said.
Zelina Vega was also recently asked about a potential return for CM Punk and she indicated that she supports the idea of him returning to WWE. Only time will tell if that is a real option for Punk. Stay tuned for updates.
