This year WrestleMania took place across two nights from SoFi Stadium and both nights featured Bloodline related matches in the main event spots. The Usos dropped the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship to Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens during the night 1 main event, and Roman Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship when he defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event of night 2.
Seth Rollins didn’t compete in the main event this year, but he did face off against Logan Paul in a marquee match that got a lot of attention. During a recent appearance on the Out Of Character podcast with Ryan Satin, Seth was asked if he felt any jealousy toward Cody Rhodes for landing the main event spot, and he admitted that he felt some healthy resentment.
“Jealousy’s not necessarily the right word. At the end of the day, it’s show business, you know? That’s how it works sometimes. … It’s not always a meritocracy, as much as we would love it to be. It’s just not.
“For me, I took the Logan Paul story and ran with it. I knew we were gonna have an absolute blast because the characters were so diametrically opposed in the audience’s eyes. You had one guy, Logan Paul, that the audience simply detested, and I … had just spun into a guy that everyone was really happy to see every week.
“Any time you put in the amount of work that I put in last year while somebody else gets the top spot, if you are competitive and you want to be the best, … you’re just gonna have resentment. It’s just gonna be there. And it’s healthy, I think.”
Even though Seth didn’t main event WrestleMania he seems to be in a great spot at the moment as he’s the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion which seemingly makes him the top star on Raw.
