Top WWE Star Addresses Botch From SmackDown

This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown continued the build for SummerSlam and it also featured a big title match as Asuka defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair. As Bianca Belair made her entrance fans couldn’t help but notice that Rhea Ripley’s titantron video played in the background while Belair entered to her own music.

Rhea Ripley addressed the production team’s mistake when she posted the following comment on Twitter:

“Even the production team are thinking about Mami ”

Unfortunately for Bianca Belair it seems that Friday just wasn’t her night as Asuka ended up retaining the WWE Women’s Championship. While Bianca Belair and Asuka were battling on the outside Bayley and Iyo Sky appeared as Iyo prepared to cash in her Money in the Bank contract. Charlotte Flair then appeared and speared Bayley, but Flair was then attacked by Iyo Sky.

After taking out Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky taunted Bianca Belair. Charlotte tried to get revenge by spearing Iyo Sky, but Sky moved out of the way, and Flair inadvertently speared Bianca Belair which caused the title match to end in a disqualification.

WWE has yet to announce plans for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, but all signs seem to be pointing to Asuka defending the belt against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair in a triple threat match.
