Prior to the coronavirus pandemic WWE officials were working hard to sign their talents to long term deals, but it looks like at least one big name is working without a contract.
Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com is reporting that Rey Mysterio is currently working without a WWE contract.
Mysterio last signed a deal with the company in September of 2018, and although that deal has expired he’s still working for WWE.
Recently Rey Mysterio, and his son Dominik, have been featured in a storyline with Seth Rollins on Raw.
Mysterio and Dominik were originally scheduled to appear in person on the June 29 episode of Raw, but their segment was changed to a taped appearance from home.
There was also a plan for an “eye for an eye” match at Extreme Rules where Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio would face off in a bout where the only way to win would be to take out your opponent’s eye, but the match has yet to be announced.
