Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Universal Champion, but since Brock only shows up when he wants to, the Raw brand is a little short on top heels.
Roman Reigns is set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at SummerSlam, but where the title picture goes from there is anybody’s guess at this point.
Braun Strowman is lurking in the background with the Money in the Bank briefcase, and he could cash in at any time. Brock Lesnar’s future with WWE following SummerSlam is also in question, as he’s made it clear that he’s interested in returning to UFC.
If Roman Reigns or Braun Strowman end up winning the title soon, they’re going to need someone to feud with, and if Brock doesn’t stick around then options will be limited.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the current plan for the main event at Raw live events in the fall is to have Roman Reigns face Braun Strowman.
While it’s possible that WWE could do a face vs. face match, the planned Reigns vs. Strowman matches seem to indicate that one of them will be turning heel.
Reigns and Strowman certainly aren’t strangers, as they’ve feuded in the past, and during their last few Strowman was positioned as the heel.
