One half of the current TNA World Tag Team Champions recently underwent surgery and now he’s set to be out for 6 to 9 months. Davey Richards underwent reconstructive knee surgery last week to repair a torn ACL.
Richards is said to be in good shape and noted that he hobbled to his math class right after surgery and aced his test. He recently signed a guaranteed deal with TNA so there’s no pressure for him to return early. It’s estimated that he could return sometime between August and November according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
This will more than likely lead to The Wolves having to vacate the titles for a second time. They previously had to vacate the titles in 2015 when Eddie Edwards broke his heel.
