Anything can happen when you watch a professional wrestling pay-per-view, and on Sunday night NXT TakeOver: In Your House aired on the WWE Network.
Charlotte Flair defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Rhea Rhipley and Io Shirai in the main event, and in the end it was Io Shirai who walked out with the gold.
Wrestling Inc. is now reporting that Charlotte Flair is done with NXT for now.
It’s interesting to note that Charlotte did not take the pin to lose the belt, which would seemingly lead to a rematch, but after the show Triple H noted that he’s unsure where the title picture goes from here.
“Charlotte’s always been a RAW talent, that’s where she signed and is her own. She’s been working all three brands lately, which has been awesome, but we’ll see. I’m not 100% sure of that, but I think in this moment that obviously just happened, I think we will see where that goes.”
