It seems that the stars of the WWE just can’t catch a break as of late, as there are several wrestlers who are currently dealing with injuries.
Former WWE Divas Champion Paige is dealing with an injury that has reportedly ended her career, Raw Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan was recently pulled from live events, and now a SmackDown Live star has been pulled from live events as well.
PWInsider is reporting that former Universal Champion Kevin Owens was pulled from the last two nights of live events due to what’s being described as an existing injury that Owens has been working through.
Kevin Owens appeared at the recent live event in Hidalgo, TX, but did not appear at the second event in Hidalgo, or at the live event in Corpus Christi.
The belief is that the injury is not serious, and Owens was pulled as a precautionary measure to make sure he can compete in the 2 on 1 handicap match for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble.
At this point it seems that Kevin Owens will likely appear on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, but he will be working in a non-physical role similar to what Jason Jordan did on Raw this week.
