Top NXT Star Reportedly Pulled From NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV

SummerSlam is quickly approaching, which means NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV will be here soon as well.

But unfortunately it sounds like one of NXT’s top stars won’t be making it to Brooklyn.

PWInsider is reporting that former NXT Champion Aleister Black is not expected to be cleared in time for TakeOver after undergoing surgery to repair a groin injury that he suffered during a recent NXT live event.

Original plans called for Tommaso Ciampa to defend the NXT Championship against Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano in a triple threat match, but now it appears that the main event will likely be a singles match featuring Ciampa defending against Gargano.
