Since the inception of All Elite Wrestling the company has put a big focus on the tag team division, and Santana & Ortiz have certainly been one of the teams to watch.
Recently there’s been speculation that Santana & Ortiz are not on the same page as they haven’t been interacting much recently. During the latest episode of the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan was asked about the rumors and he said that Santana & Ortiz are not on good terms.
It’s not clear what the issue is between the two AEW stars, but Santana seemingly teased his exit from AEW back in April when he posted a tweet which said, “126 days.” He recently followed up with another tweet that said “soon” which created speculation that he is looking to leave the company.
Right now it’s not clear when Santana will be able to compete again as he suffered an injury during the Blood & Guts match. Tony Khan confirmed it is a knee injury and there’s currently no timetable for his return. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
