When CM Punk joined All Elite Wrestling last year it was a big moment for wrestling fans, but it seems that Punk’s run with the company is already over. It’s been reported that AEW is looking to buy out CM Punk’s contract following the physical altercation with The Elite at All Out. Now it seems that there are some names who aren’t willing to welcome CM Punk back to AEW.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that several top people were saying that CM Punk would not be back during the TV tapings on 10/26. A few names were mentioned with Chris Jericho’s name being mentioned the most. It was noted that most of the top names in AEW have said that they wouldn’t work with CM Punk.
One top star reportedly said, “Punk won’t be back. His value on screen isn’t one percent worth the hassle and black cloud he causes backstage.”
Another top star added that the team has decided CM Punk is out regardless of whether or not there are still people in the company who are willing to work with him. It’s being said that the collective has voted CM Punk off the island.
