When it comes to the All Elite Wrestling roster the current AEW World Champion is one of the most outspoken wrestlers in the company. On screen MJF has been teasing a possible jump to WWE in 2024 and it looks like he’s doing the same thing behind the scenes as well.
Fightful Select reports that MJF has been telling anyone who asks the same thing he’s said on screen, and that is that his deal with AEW is up at the start of 2024.
It’s also being reported that one WWE talent admitted MJF said, “I’m looking forward to being there in 2024.” The same talent noted that they took it with a grain of salt even though MJF wanted them to think he was serious. Word of MJF saying he was looking forward to being part of WWE in 2024 made its way to other WWE talent as well.
One WWE source noted that WWE is is obviously interested in MJF, but many people aren’t sure when his deal is actually up as they’re operating on assumptions and what MJF has told people. So far no one has heard that MJF has extended his contract although many assume that’s the case. However, there’s been no confirmation regarding when MJF’s deal expires and if he’s signed an extension at any point. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
