When it comes to stars who have made an impression on the AEW fans it certainly seems that MJF is at the top of the list. MJF spent several months away from AEW after he cut a promo back in June where he called Tony Khan “a f***ing mark” but he recently returned to television at the All Out pay-per-view.
During his promo back in June, MJF made it clear that he felt he deserved more money and he recently confirmed during an appearance on the MMA Hour that he signed a new deal with no contract extension.
“I most certainly did, with no contract extension. ‘Cause once again, love Tony Khan to death, ‘you’re my bff [winks at camera] but kinda got the man by the balls.”
With no time added to his contract it seems that MJF will still become a free agent in 2024. He’s teased that he wants to join WWE, but he emphasized that he will be looking to sign with whoever offers him more money.
“Here’s the deal. A lot of people think I’m leaning towards one place or the other. Here’s what I’m leaning towards. Money. That’s all I care about, that’s what I live for. That’s what I live and die by.
So I go where the money’s at. Whoever is going to offer me the most amount of money, that’s where I’m gonna go. That could be anywhere. Hell, if there’s some financial backer out there that wants to start his own wrestling company and use me as the figurehead, that’s where I’ll go. It’s that simple. All I care about is money.”
Stay tuned for more updates on MJF as they become available.
