One the keys to survival in the world of professional wrestling is reinvention, and it’s certainly not uncommon for wrestlers to switch up their look from time to time in order to keep things fresh.
Former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida recently decided to show off a shorter hair cut, and she posted a photo of her new look along with the following caption: “New Shida is here 🔥”
Shida debuted the new look when she faced off against Diamante on this week’s episode of AEW Dark: Elevation on YouTube.
Hikaru Shida defeated Nyla Rose at the 2020 Double or Nothing pay-per-view to win the AEW Women’s Championship for the first time in her career. She managed to hold on to the title for 372 days before dropping it to Britt Baker at the 2021 Double or Nothing pay-per-view a few weeks ago.
