You never know what’s going to happen in the world of professional wrestling, and last week on AEW Dynamite fans saw Sammy Guevara officially quit the Inner Circle.
Now Slam Wrestling is reporting that AEW President Tony Khan is not happy with Sammy Guevara after he voiced complaints about a storyline which would have seen him become a part of the inter-promotional storyline with Impact Wrestling.
According to the report, following Dynamite this week Chris Jericho floated the idea of Guevara appearing in Impact, and Tony Khan then contacted Impact about writing Sammy into an angle.
Impact’s first take was rejected, but the second idea was reportedly given the green light by Tony Khan.
Plans were reportedly made to shoot an angle the next day, but Impact received a direct message from Sammy Guevara complaining about the creative.
Impact then reached out to Tony Khan and Chris Jericho, and it’s being said that Jericho contacted Impact Executive Vice-President Don Callis about banning Sammy Guevara from Impact.
By the time Sammy Guevara arrived in Nashville he received a message from Jericho telling him not to head to Impact’s shooting location, and instead to return home.
AEW officials are reportedly concerned that Sammy’s actions may have hurt AEW’s relationship with Impact.
