Top AEW Star Leaves Twitter

Twitter can sometimes be a tough place for wrestlers as they often have to endure less than pleasant comments made by other people who use the social media service. Former AEW Women’s Champion Riho recently quit Twitter, and now Eddie Kingston has done the same. Kingston confirmed his departure from Twitter was something he did in support of Riho when he posted the following:

“Terry Funk is the G.O.A.T.
I got rid of my tweeter because I saw some evil s**t tweeted at Riho and I’m done.”

OTT Wrestling recently confirmed that Eddie Kingston was pulled from their Scrappermania event after he tested positive for COVID-19. Recently Eddie Kingston got the wrestling world talking a few weeks ago when he “quit” AEW after Dynamite.

The Mad King has since resurfaced in Ring of Honor and he’s made it clear that he wants a shot at Claudio Catagnoli’s ROH World Championship. It’s expected that Eddie will be challenging Claudio for the belt at the Supercard of Honor PPV later this month, but the match has not been officially announced just yet. Stay tuned for updates.
