AEW has a number of heels on the roster, but there’s no denying that there’s one who stands out above the rest. MJF has been turning heads for years now thanks to his scathing promos and it seems that the fans have embraced him. Recently Maxwell Jacob Friedman has been receiving positive reactions from the crowds at AEW events, but it doesn’t seem that he has any interest in a face turn.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that MJF does not want to turn face despite the fact that he’s getting babyface reactions from the fans. It was also noted that MJF is currently one of the top merchandise sellers in AEW and the expectation is that he will turn face eventually.
MJF is currently holding the poker chip from the Casino Ladder match which guarantees him a shot at the AEW World Championship. It was determined this week on AEW Dynamite that MJF will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at the Full Gear pay-per-view next month.
