Since launching in 2019, AEW has signed some impressive names and MJF has been one of the stars to watch from the very beginning. MJF has worked his way up to the top spot in the company, but it doesn’t sound like it was easy for him or Tony Khan.
MJF has a larger than life personality on TV, and during a recent interview with Today, Tony Khan indicated that MJF can be difficult backstage when he said, “My own experiences dealing with him, I’ve found him to be more difficult in some ways off camera, if that’s even possible.”
The current AEW World Champion also chimed in and MJF told fans what they see is what they get when he added, “This is me 100% of the time, 365 days a year. It doesn’t change. You can ask people in my industry — and people have — and then fans are like, ‘Oh, these other people are just keeping up the ruse.’ This is me.”
MJF will be in action tonight when he defends the AEW World Championship against Ricky Starks at Winter Is Coming. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
