Over the last few years there have been several AEW stars who have been making their way up the ranks and MJF is currently the top star in the company.
MJF has been AEW World Champion since he beat Jon Moxley last year at Full Gear, but he has teased a few times that he is open to jumping to WWE at some point in 2024. However, it seems that AEW may have already locked MJF into a new deal.
Haus of Wrestling is reporting that they’ve heard from several WWE sources who believe MJF quietly signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling. One WWE higher up stated that there have been no talks between MJF and WWE. It was also noted that the idea MJF will become a free agent soon is a false narrative as the belief is that he has signed a deal that will keep him with AEW until 2027.
Another source noted that they were told a while ago that MJF is under a long term deal with All Elite Wrestling which is why they stopped pushing the 2024 stuff.
