Shane McMahon hasn’t made an appearance on WWE programming since he suffered an injury at WrestleMania 39, and there’s currently no word on when wrestling fans might see him again.
Recently Conrad Thompson got the wrestling world talking when he mentioned Shane McMahon on Grilling JR and said, “There was a friend of ours. He went out of his way to text me, ‘Hey, that’s not as crazy as you think. I know for sure that Shane McMahon has reached out to wrestlers on the AEW roster to at least hypothetically discuss the idea.’”
Dave Meltzer noted in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that people who in theory should have an inkling about the situation said either that they’ve heard nothing, or that all they heard about it was what Conrad Thompson said.
Tony Khan commented on simply said, “I’ve never met him or talked to him in my life.”
One person said that there was conversation between Shane McMahon and a former WWE talent that works for AEW. It was described as not a pitch or anything like that, but just two people chatting. It’s being said that it wasn’t anything serious which is why none of the key people in AEW had heard about it.
