This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured the Face of the Revolution ladder match and Eddie Kingston and Ortiz both participated. However, they weren’t in the match long as they ended up brawling up the ramp early on. After the show Eddie Kingston was asked what happened and he said, “I quit AEW. Peace.”
There’s been speculation that Eddie Kingston quitting AEW will lead to him joining ROH full time and Tony Khan ecnouraged people to stay tuned to “other forms of pro wrestling” during the AEW media call ahead of Revolution.
“I have talked to Eddie since [Wednesday], and I would encourage people to stay tuned to pro wrestling. Stay tuned to AEW and other forms of pro wrestling.
“Of course, there are a lot of exciting things happening in the sport, in AEW, and also out metaverse of pro wrestling, including New Japan and the launch of the new Ring of Honor. A lot of exciting things happening. I have had the chance to talk to Eddie about that and I say stay tuned to the wrestling business and you’ll see what happens next.”
Eddie Kingston was involved in the recent ROH TV tapings, so it’s certainly seems like he’s ROH bound for now. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
